LSUHSC-Shreveport Emergency Medicine Department

Welcome to the website of the Emergency Department of LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport.  We are an academic facility with Level 1 trauma and all specialties available.  Our current ED volume is in the 65,000 range, but with our recently opened facilities we expect that should continue to grow. 

Throughout this website you will find information about our Emergency Medicine residency program and the Department of Emergency Medicine. Our Chairman, Dr. Thomas C. Arnold MD, FAAEM, FACMT and the faculty and staff are dedicated to training outstanding Emergency Medicine physicians and providing superior patient care.
