New Department Now Open

On October 15, 2008 we proudly opened the doors on Phase 1 of our new Emergency Department.  While there are many things about the old department which will be missed, our new facilities and technology will allow us to better meet the needs of our patients and improve the educational opportunities for our students and residents.

Currently we boast 26 beds including 2 trauma bays, a 9 bed observation unit and a 4 chair asthma unit.  When Phase 2 is completed in 2009 patients will be treated in a 56 bed unit and 4 trauma bays.  Included in this will be a separate Pediatric/Fast Track unit within our Emergency Department.
